Aishwarya Rai to Debut in P Vasu's Aishwaryavum Aayiram

The much-awaited comeback of Bollywood’s former queen-bee Aishwarya Rai is happening finally with the film of a least-expected film-maker. P. Vasu, a veteran of many Tamil films including some of superstar Rajinikanth’s super-duper hits, is to make Aishwaryavum Aayiram Kaakkavum thereby bringing the reluctant Ash back into films after the birth of her 2-year old daughter.

Vasu is said to be planning to make the film in a grand manner with breath-taking visual effects in ‘animatronics’ mode. The film has tentatively been named for the time being as Aishwaryavum Aayiram Kaakkavum. The script, which is an unique one, would feature Aishwarya in a never-before role. Leading visual-effects companies besides some animatronics experts (brought exclusively from France) are to work in the film.

It is said that when Ash listened to the script from P. Vasu, she couldn’t control her excitement and shouted as ‘Waah!’ She immediately gave her consent to star in the film which is to be made simultaneously in Tamil and Telugu. Whether or not the film would be dubbed in Hindi (given Ash’s popularity in the Hindi belt in other parts of the country) remains to be seen.

A leading music director, cinematographer, editor, art director and stunt choreographer would be roped into work in the film which is to be shot in the popular hilly regions in the North of the country besides in Cambodia. Huge sets would also be erected wherein some sequences in the film would be shot. Ash is likely to undergo training in horse-riding and sword-fighting to prepare herself to portray her character in the film.

K. Rames’s Global One Studios, which produced the Priyamani-starrer Chaarulatha, would be producing Aishwarya’s comeback film. Talks are on with at least two leading heroes to star in the film.(PTI)
