Amidst all the discussions and debates regarding Fahadh Faasil and Nazriya's wedding, age gap and career, the star couple of M'Town got engaged in the capital city today.The star couple will tie the knot on 21st August 2014 in Thiruvananthapuram followed by a reception on 24th August at Aleppey.

However, the engagement that was conducted in a star hotel in the city was a low key affair and the ceremony saw the presence of family, relatives and close friends of the star couple.

When Fahadh Faasil and Nazriya Nazim announced their wedding on social networking sites, the points that were hotly debated by both their fans were: Is Nazriya, at 19, old enough to get married? And secondly, isn't the age gap between the couple, 11 years, a bit too much?

"Child marriage!" went some comments while others said this wasn't the 80s when the men got married to much younger women. Still others picked up the all-too-famous dialogue from the film Midhunam, where Sreenivasan asks a lovestruck Mohanlal whether he was marrying a 12-year-old girl, on mistaking his girlfriend's younger sister for the girl herself.
