Dhoom 3 Movie World Wide Box Office Collection Crossed 500cr

This is a ranking of the highest grossing Indian films which includes film industries from various languages such as Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, etc. based on the conservative global box office estimates as reported by sources such as Box Office India, Bollywood Hungama, Koimoi, and other reputable sources. During the 1940s cinema in South India accounted for nearly half of India's cinema halls which has grown to 75% of all film revenues in India as of 2009. Indian films have been screened in markets around the world since the early 20th century. As of 2003, there are markets in over 90 countries where films from India are screened.

2014 is already a blockbuster year for Bollywood. Dhoom: 3 has earned Rs 500 crores and Aamir Khan is on top once again. In 2013, Shah Rukh Khan's Chennai Express and Hrithik Roshan's Krrish 3 briefly shattered 3 Idiots' three year run at the top of the blockbuster lists. With Dhoom: 3, Aamir reclaims his most valuable player position.

Since it released on December 20, 2013, Dhoom: 3 has collected Rs 501.35 crores worldwide, making Rs 351.29 in India and Rs 150.06 abroad.

Trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted: "In terms of *gross BO numbers*, #Dhoom3 is the first Hindi film to cross Rs 500 cr mark *worldwide*. Creates History."

Producers Yash Raj Films said in a statement: "Dhoom: 3 continues to create history at both the Indian and overseas box office. It is now officially the first Indian film to cross Rs 500 crore worldwide."

Dhoom: 3, co-starring Katrina Kaif, Abhishek Bachchan and Uday Chopra, is one-third of the hit series, previous installments of which starred Hrithik Roshan, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, John Abraham and Bipasha Basu.
