Kate Upton Takes the Big Screen: In her first major silver screen role, Kate Upton is starring alongside Cameron Diaz and Leslie Mann (and even Nicki Minaj) in the upcoming comedy The Other Woman. In the film's trailer, Upton is seen as a mistress to Mann's on-screen hubby, looking as blonde (and boobs out) as ever. Although Upton has starred in the 2011 film Tower Heist and 2012's The Three Stooges, The Other Woman will be the supermodel's first foray into some serious on-screen time. The movie is set to release in April 2014. [The Huffington Post]
Vogue Breaks its Own Health Initiative... Again: The Vogue Health Initiative, which launched in June 2012, stipulated that the magazine would no longer utilize models under the age of 16. Two months after the agreement, Vogue China utilized then 15-year-old Ondria Hardin. Although the magazine's editor-in-chief issued an apology, and Jonathan Newhouse stated how "very serious" the new rules were to the company, in September 2012, Vogue Italia shot 15-year-old Sarah Kees—once again violating the initiative. Now more than a year later, Vogue Mexico published a spread featuring 15-year-old Julia Borawska for its November 2013 issue. Although the photographer of the shoot, Kevin Sinclair, commented that he was unaware of the model's age, Fashionista cites that her birth year can easily be found on her agency's website. Kanye West's Creative Director Designs Fashion Label: Virgil Abloh, Kanye West's longtime creative director, has launched his own fashion label called Off-White. Citing his inspirations (strangely) as "Montauk, Martha Stewart, and Nantucket," Abloh's line is high-end meets streetwear with oversized hoodies, track shorts, and espadrilles. "Streetwear has a one-trick-ponyness to it," Abloh told Style.com. "I want to give my point of view and merge street sensibilities in a proper fashion context... It's about the washed nature of clothes, the relaxedness. That's what I love, to bring a Ralph [Lauren] take back into streetwear. Streetwear is generally brand-new. It's fresh out of the box, you wear it once, it becomes trendy, then you get rid of it." [The Telegraph]
Beyoncé Launches Third Fragrance: For her third fragrance, Beyoncé pulled inspiration from Maya Angelou's poem "Still I Rise," aptly naming the perfume Rise. "There's a strong sense of 'overcoming adversity and rising above it all,'" Coty's vice president of global market, Marsha Brooks, said. "The fragrance concept is about female empowerment and finding the inner strength that makes women so beautiful." The fragrance, which will be available in February, is described as an "intoxicating, addictive luminous floral."
