It looks like the revamped Superman Movie, Man of Steel, is a super in more ways than one, with some very "Super Box Office" earnings - 125m Pounds to be precise - in America Alone.
The movie, which stars Henry Cavil Russell, Russell Crowe and Kenvin Conster, was originally expected to earn between $75 Million to $130 Million but the new Superman smashed that, earnings itself a staggering $196.7 Million this week alone.
The film which stars British Actor Henry Cavill as a Superman expected earned $113million over its first weekend alone in America. The movie earned an additional $12million from late night Thursday screening, bringing its US total $125million. Fabulous Man of Steel managed to earn itself $71.6 million internationally, helping manifest its total $196.7 Million.
Wondering why the film has proved such a hit? "They finally got the Superman formula right," Said Paul Dergarabedian, an analyst for box-office tracker Hollywood.com. "Superhero movies really are the bread and butter od summer box office. The fact the Iron Man 3 has the biggest opening of the year so far and Man of Steel has the second biggest opening of the year just proves that."
