Naan Sigappu Manithan (English: I am a Red Man) is an upcoming 2014 Tamil drama film directed by Thiru and produced by UTV Motion Pictures. Co-produced by Vishal, the film stars himself in the leading role with Lakshmi Menon and Iniya in supporting roles, while G. V. Prakash Kumar composes the film's music. The film is expected to release in mid 2014. Title is named after Rajinikanth starrer 1985 Tamil film of same name. Naan Sigapu Manithan's shoot starts from 29th of November 2013 near VGP and ends by February 2014. Release is in April 2014.


Vishal announced that director Thiru would produce a film under his production house in June 2013, revealing that Jai would play the lead role in the film. However in October 2013, Jai announced that his schedules were busy and thus Vishal himself opted to play the lead role in the film. Lakshmi Menon, who played a lead role alongside Vishal in Pandiya Nadu, was selected to play lead heroine.After intial discussions with G. V. Prakash Kumar proved unsuccessful, the team signed up Thaman to compose the film's music. However, in a turn of events, G. V. Prakash replaced Thaman, giving the team priority dates. The film began production on November 29, 2013 and it was announced that Iniya was added to the cast to play another leading female role.
