Music director GV prakash kumar turned into hero with 'Pencil' movie. which film was directed by mani nagaraj, from the associate director of Gautham menon. first chosen priya anand for the GV pair. But still priya anand place is replaced with 'varutha padathavar valibar sangam' fame 'Sri divya'. she already acted in 'manasara','bus stop' and 'mallela theeram lo sirimalle puvvu'. pencil is her second film in tamil. Gv prakash will play as a 12th std  student in this film, another news he playing dual role in this film. shoot will be starts november. After this project he producing a movie also.



G V Prakash Kumar, the nephew of AR Rahman is all set to make his debut as a hero in Kollywood. Prakash has already carved a niche for himself as a music composer having worked for some big ticket Kollywood films. In Telugu, Prakash has given music for Ongole Gitta, Endukante Premanta and Darling. He had recently announced the launch of his own production company, GV Prakash Kumar Productions with an intention of encouraging newcomers and small cinema.

The latest news to emerge from Kollywood is that, Prakash would soon be making his debut as a hero. The movie has been titled Pencil and Priya Anand (of Leader, Ko Ante Koti, Rama Rama Krishna Krishna and 180 fame) has been finalized as the lead actress opposite him.


The twenty-six-year-old Prakash would be seen in the role of a class 12 student in the movie which is expected to be a love-thriller. Mani Naga Raj who has worked as assistant to Gautham Menon would be getting a break as director. The movie would be going on floors in November and interestingly, Prakash is not producing the movie. His first venture as a producer is Madha Yaanai Koottam which will be directed by Vikram Sugumaran a former assistant of Balu Mahendra.
