Mangalyam Tamil Movie 1954 - Flash Back From J 10 M

Mangalyam is a Tamil movie released in the year 1954.

One of the interesting features of this film is that it had two stars of South India - Rajasulochana and BS Sarajo. However, when the film was made, Sarajo was already known while Rajasulochana was on her way to stage.

Sarajo was hailed from Kerala and lived in Madras, She worked in circus companies as a performer of stunts before she enters into K'twon stages. She entered into films through Gemini Studios as a group Dancer. She made her top with movies like Vikatayogi (1946), Vichitra Vanitha (1947), Inbavalli (1949), Geetha Gandhi (1949), Natya Rani (1949), Paarijatham (1950), Our Iravu (1951) and Koondukili (1954, Is the only film in which MGR and Sivaji Ganesan acted together).

One of the successful actress in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, Kannada and Malayalam Movies. Rajasulochana learnt Bharathanatyam, Kuchipudi, Kathak and Kathakali. Not surprising, movies beckoned her, and she entered the Tamil industry with Mangalyam.

Earlier she acted in Kannada movie Gunasagari (1953), under gubbi veeranna production which is dubbed into Tamil as Sathyasodhanai. Rajaslochana has acted will almost all the top stars of that period. Thai Pirandhaal Vazhi Pirakkum is considered as one of the most successful movie in which she is acted with SS Rajendran.
