Tamil Nadu Agriculture University (TNAU) is in Coimbatore introduces new courses for this academic year 2013-2014 that will develop the students with more employ-ability skills. PG on Molecular Plant Breeding will be conducted in public private partnership mode to develop the students skills. It will improve the quality and hybrid seeds in the seed industry.

This course will change the approaches of the students in the field of genetics and genetic enhancement of crops. Two new doctoral programme, Integrated PhD and External PhD will also to be commenced in this 2013. The candidate who applies for the above doctoral program will provided the degree in 4 years after completing their undergraduate programme in sted of 5 years.

For the candidates who applies for an external PhD, who should posses 2 years professional experience in government or private organizations alone can apply.
