Vadivelu and Meenakshi in Tenaliraman Movie New Stills

Tenaliraman (previously titled Jagajala Pujabala Thenaliraman) is an upcoming Tamil historical fiction comedy film directed by Yuvaraj, who earlier directed the Sadagoppan Ramesh starrer Potta Potti. Vadivelu stars in this film in dual roles. Meenakshi Dixit plays the heroine in the film.

The official 3-minute trailer for the film was released on 27 March 2014. The trailer was a welcome relief for all of Vadivelu's fans and had received unanimously positive reviews from critics and audiences alike. Many critics stated that everything - the palace interiors, the street and market sets, the superb visual effects, and the actors’ costumes - deserves special mention for the grandioseness that is evident on screen. Behindwoods wrote "However, for now, Vadivelu is back. Dum." The film got a clean "U" certificate from the Central Board of Film Certification on 28 March 2014 The film, initially set for release on 11 April 2014, had been postponed to release a week later on 18 April 2014, as told by the film's director, Yuvaraj. Wishing the film well, comedy actor Vivek, who is also Vadivelu's good friend and had acted in many hit comedy capers alongside him, tweeted "Gm tweeples! Letz all pray for the smooth release of "Thenaliraman"n a great success which shd make the producer n trade ppl happy."
