Vijay Sethupathi and Gayathrie in Mellisai Movie New Photos

Vijay Sethupathi announced that he signed the film in September 2013 in an interview to The Hindu, under the direction of first time film maker Ranjith, an associate of director Ram.The actor chose to postpone some of his other projects in order to complete Mellisai, describing it as a thriller film. Gayathrie was signed on to play a violin teacher in the film, marking her third film with Vijay Sethupathi Naduvula Konjam Pakkatha Kaanom (2012) and Rummy (2014), and to practice for her character she began to learn the instrument part-time. The film began its first schedule in December 2013.

Mellisai is an upcoming Tamil film directed by Ranjith and produced under Rebel Studio Productions. Vijay Sethupathi and Gayathrie feature in the leading roles. The film is in its production stage and will release in late 2014.
