The first schedule has been wrapped after it was shot in the scenic locales of Chalakudy and Goa.The team started a long and hectic schedule from November 20, 2012. Nimirnthu Nil music, composed by G V Prakash Kumar, will be launched on December 11, 2013, that is 11-12-13. The most of the portions of this movie were took place in coimbatore.

Music is composed by GV Prakashkumar uniting for first time with Samuthirakani and Jayam Ravi. Audio was released on December 11, 2013. Ameer, S P Jhananathan, Rajesh, Sasikumar, Gautham Menon, Pandiraj, Suseenthiran, Vetrimaaran and Cheran made it to the event while Arya, Nani the hero of the Telugu version, Ragini Dwivedi, composer G.V.Prakash and Soori were also present at the launch. Two songs and a trailer were screened at the event much to the delight of the fans and guests who attended the launch. Indiaglitz called the album as "mixed package", Behindwoods described it as "tasteful blend of melodies"
