'Dhoom 3', Aamir Khan's big bang thriller, has turned all box office collections predictions on their head by muscling out both Hrithik Roshan's Krrish 3 and Shah Rukh Khan's Chennai Express.
Dhoom 3 has surprised all by breaking the opening day records at the box office.
On the opening day, Bollywood Trade Analyst Taran Adarsh, tweeted the box office collections in a succinct manner, “All Languages Hindi Rs 33.42 Cr; Tamil & Telugu Rs 2.80 Cr; Total Rs 36.22 Cr."

Dhoom 3- All Languages Hindi Rs 33.42 Cr Tamil & Telugu Rs 2.80 Cr Total Rs 36.22 Cr
The star cast including Aamir Khan, Katrina Kaif, Uday Chopra and of-course Abhishek Bachchan may have been panned in the reviews, but the bikes, babes and brawls formula, is dished out even more liberally than the earlier two sequences, has won over the public, at least initially..
This makes it the highest ever opening day collections including both holiday and non-holiday records which includes Shah Rukh Khan's Chennai Express and Hrithik Roshan's Krrish 3.
Considering the record-list, Chennai Express which was released on Eid, held the record with Rs 33.12 crore and Krrish, which was released on a working day had bagged Rs 25 crore.
Now, all eyes are on Dhoom 3 for the weekend box office collections and whether it can keep luring the crowds through the turnstiles.
Keep watching this space.
