Overview
Bullet Raja movie is a gangster-thriller movie set against the backdrop of Uttar Pradesh-based mafia while dealing with the underworld and feature Sonakshi Sinha as the leading lady who plays Saif's love interest and how she lands up among these gangsters.
Story
Bullet Raja follows the trajectory of a simple, unemployed, Brahmin man Raja Mishra (Saif Ali Khan), who is almost about to take up a job in a hotel that asks him if he has a hotel management degree. A series of untoward incidents in his life forces him to take the law in his own hands. Soon the simple youth transforms into a dreaded UP gangster, who lives life by his own rules. In the course of things he proves to be a loyal friend to Jimmy Shergill and his heart beats like never before for the 156th girl (Sonakshi Sinha) he meets. In his rise to power he is supported by a local politician (Raj Babbar) who ultimately wants to get rid of him. Sadly, Raja loses his dear friend which leads him to vent, "Bhai mara hai hamara, badla lena parampara hai. Koi corporate culture nahin hai ki agli deal mein adjust kar lenge."
Analysis
BR scores with its tight performances, Saif terrific with his clenched-jaw comedy, Shergill intense and growlingly funny, Jamwal's flying kicks and wavy hair making the landscape even hotter. Sonakshi's pleasant if unsurprising while Babbar and Grover infuse their roles with oily, kachori-like spice. UP comes alive too as Bullett Raja leaps from Gomti to gaus, sex to sex pistols, Hollywood to Hazratganj, its imagery somewhere between Omkara and Dabangg.
Final Verdict : ***/5
Film should take some sort of start in north especially because of local feel and director's past releases which worked well over there. Film will take a good start overall but from Monday onwards how good it holds will be interesting as film has only 7 days to make impact at box office
